things. This can include outreach within the congregation
of St. Andrew's as well as outreach to the local community,
our nation, and to other countries

St. Andrew's Food and Emergency Transportation Network
Food
-- A new baby in your midst? Illnes got you down?
Temporarily out of work? Recuperating from an accident?
How about food for you or your household? Food can
be provided once or routinely, as appropriate for
your needs.
Emergency
-- Accidents? Illness? Death? Fire at 2 a.m.? Services
such as babysitting, house-sitting, or a place to
stay can be provided.
Transportation
-- No car? Not driving? Need a lift to a doctor's
appointment, church, pharmacy, or help reaching your
needed destingation safe and sound? We can help with
these.
Networking
-- St. Andrew's Prayer-Net (number below) is a team
of people who intercede for us as our prayer requests
are made know. Luther Swavely oversees this important
ministry in the life of our community.

Pickerington
Food Pantry
The food pantry, located in the old Carnegie Library
at the corner of Columbus Street and Lockville Road,
serves about 40 families per month throughout the year.
The only requirement is that residents must verify that
they live within the Pickerington Local School District.
Mid-Ohio
Food Bank
Mid Ohio Food Bank, a non-for-profit organization,
believes that no one should go hungry. The Foodbank
is dedicated to feeding hungry people by providing food
and grocery products for distribution in 20 counties
in central and eastern Ohio and increasing awareness
about hunger in our community

Place
For over 20 years St. John's Episcopal Church has sponsored
the HIS PLACE ministry. Every Wednesday from September
through June volunteers from various congregations in
the Columbus area gather at St. John's to fix dinner
for approximately 150 people. Men, women, and children
can be involved in this outreach ministry to the people
of our most needy inner-city communities.
SAMS
(South American Missionary Society)
Anita and Michael Dohn are physicians serving as missionaries
with La Iglesia Episcopal Dominicana through the South
American Missionary Society. They live with their daughters
in San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. They
often provide us with updates on what they are doing
down in the Caribbean.
